Promote With Postcards

Postcards have been consistently one of the more popular collectibles and used as promotional materials. More and more business owners are turning to color postcards as a good way of promoting their products and services. This is simply because postcards don’t have to be opened. It won’t get lumped in with all the mail envelopes that people usually toss without opening.

Business owners can’t afford to make mistakes when it to comes to their promotional materials. They spend a considerable amount of money in it so they would want them to bring greater sales and profits to their business. Thus, if the postcard reveals a glossy, professional attractive picture, the recipient will likely look at the picture and turn it over to see who sent it. Then before putting it aside they might think of visiting your store on their next shopping spree.

If you do not have an idea on how to design and create your own postcards asking the help of professional printers can help in creating attention-grabbing and effective postcards. These professionals have experience in advertising and printing so they can give advice on how to go about with your postcard printing.

But what should you look for professional printers? First off, understand that reputable printers have time frames in completing their jobs. So ask the printer that you are considering how long it would take for them to finish your project. Have some guarantee from them about the work that will be carried out. Also, know the exact price that you will pay as often there are discounts for large print jobs. This can save you a lot of money so ask the print shop about this. Ask also for a sample of how the finished product will look like for your approval before the entire order is processed.

Printing services are increasingly becoming more affordable these days. With new technologies used in printing, each print job costs cheaper as production volume increases. The speed of turnaround time has also increased with modern printing machines. Most printing companies can print hundreds and even thousands of pages every hour. Additionally, with the selection of printing techniques available today, whichever technology you use you will find that these printing services will meet your printing needs. It is just a matter of finding the right printing service for your print job.

Thus, to create an arty promotional material for more effective business advertising, turning to the professionals is a good idea. If you want to earn more profits always remember your business purpose – that is to sell your goods and services. With your people-pleasing postcards, your prospects can easily be reminded of your store.

Flying High with Flyers

The season, the weather, the style, the geographical condition and the mood of the people are all factors that affect the advertising outlay today. You will find that a lot of business owners spend twenty or thirty percent of their receipt in advertising. In order to give your business a start, as a business man you must shut your eyes to advertising expenditures and consider only the growth that advertising will bring as long as other conditions are equal.

For a more economical way of promoting a business you can consider using the marketing ability of flyers. Flyers are full page ads that are distributed directly to your potential customers. You can always do the flyer yourself or have them done professionally. You can put them in bookstores, coffee shops or wherever you think possible customers might hang out. Here are a few things you need to consider to get your flyer noticed and remembered.

First off, include your picture. People often like to connect with other visually. If you have your picture included in the flyer, readers may feel welcomed and at ease with contacting you. A colored picture is great yet a black and white is fine, too.

Second, use headlines that can hook your prospects to make some action. Give them a reason to read the flyer and show them benefits. You only have three seconds to accomplish this. If you are looking for a specific target market, find out the words or phrases that grab their attention. If you are unsure of what to write experiment with several to see what works until you get the response that you want.

Third, let your prospects know that they can easily purchase the product. Show them how they can order online, by phone or through fax. Let them know when they can expect to receive the product. Better yet, offer them a URL link to get more information.

Fourth, include testimonials that appear authentic. A two or three-line quote with initials, last name and a state are oftentimes not perceived as authentic. Thus, to make the testimonials authentic you can use the line “visit my web site for additional testimonials” and include live links to contact these people.

Fifth, wherever you go carry at least twenty-five or more flyers with you in a plastic sealed folder. This will protect your flyers from getting wet or crumpled and keeps them fresh. You can also place a piece of cardboard in front and in back for stiffness.

Lastly, do not stop at one try. You must follow-up. After several exposures, chances are you have already created interest.

Honest vs Labored Advertising

When you receive a letter from a friend you want the letter to mirror the exact thoughts and feeling of your friend at the moment he wrote it. You prefer sincerity to an artificial effort to disguise or color his sentiments. Just so with a newspaper article, a magazine tale, a novel or an advertisement. Honesty and spontaneity must be there before the attention of a reader will be thoroughly captured.

This is the fundamental virtue of an advertisement. When it is not spontaneous it is labored and artificial, therefore ineffective and when it is not natural it is mechanical and unattractive. An honest outright effort that rides rough over the rules of spelling and grammar is more effective by far than the elegant production, faultless in grammar and expression, but pretentious and artificial in effect.

Suppose you are advertising—say spring over-coats. Hold up the coat. Look it over. Feel its texture, its linings — run your hands in its pockets and note its cut and finish. And its price is very low. All these points are flashed on your mind and you make mental notes. You cross-question the salesmen about the styles of spring overcoats-which are likely to be popular. You go back to your desk full of overcoat information, and bursting with this intelligence, you proceed to fix up an ad on spring overcoats.

This information will help a lot in organizing the content that you will include in your poster, brochure or flyer. You could consider talking about the spring coat in your marketing material as you would in a conversation with a customer. Provide them with the details quickly and easily and if he likes to laugh, a short joke or story may help you in your sale. Short, snappy, and catchy sentences are the sentences that strike readers. Thus, clean, artistic outline cuts, full of action to harmonize with the text, should be used. Pictures would also help enhance the material. A picture of a well dressed man wearing the coat can help to wonderfully emphasize the points you desire to bring out.

Thus, a neat cut, complete selling scheme has advantage over over-designed ones. From start to finish it is carefully thought and carried out. How much better is it than the usual whitewash of advertising which simply brings people in only to be disgusted with the unpreparedness of things? So, to be a successful business man, make sure you use ads that are neat, fresh and not overlarge with crisp, convincing text.

Building Catalog Advertising

The principal prop of most businesses in marketing their products and services is the catalog. Of course, its preparation and creation is a matter of more than passing care and study. If your business is to create a saleable catalog, you must analyze first the good points of your business. You must write down all the important information and study catalog design over and over again, adding a fresh thought from time to time, eliminating an unnecessary paragraph or sentence and presenting the facts desired to complete the catalog.

Understand that the foundation of a good catalog is the idea. The idea is the basis of the advertisement. It is the prime and primeval requisites of ads. Without the idea nothing can be stated. Remember that the better the idea the better the statements and the stronger the advertisement. Thus, is it important to study, absorb, and think out the ideas carefully. Words are the vehicles of ideas and when you are able to conceptualize a good idea you may as well be able to use creative and appealing words.

Ideas may consist of facts related to the business together with out-side thoughts – thoughts that have indirect bearing to the business. Ideas come from many sources. You pick up a newspaper and your brain receives a score or more of ideas. You pick up a book and the author’s ideas are tincturing your mind. And when you come in contact with other people and you are at once inoculated with their thoughts. Thus, a mind that is trained in ad writing can study a business and pick out the best advertising phase and the best set of ideas. So as a business owner seeking to create an effective catalog, you should study your readers with great consideration. Advertising, in a sense, may be defined as the influence of mind over mind, thus, the psychological element in advertising is the most important one.

After devising the idea, you are now ready to write out your catalog. Your first draft may be satisfactory, the second better but still not up to your expectation, and the third is near perfection and the fourth and fifth feels that you are ready for the printing press. At this point, it is vital to emphasize the importance of giving the catalog a good printer. Keep in mind that a poorly printed catalog is a poor salesman – it misrepresents instead of represents. Thus, aim for a printer that offers a dignified, business-like and impressive printing.

After having gone through with producing your stunning catalog, you are now ready to put your ad to the test. This is the time you will know whether your idea and creativity works.

Business Stationery

Business Stationery is meant for commercial and official correspondence and usage. It can range from paper products like letterheads, business cards, notes, labels, memos, computer sheets, typewriter stationery, checks and forms to other items like pens, folders, writing pads, clips, adhesives, tapes and highlighters.

Most of the Business Stationery is ordered in basic and subdued colors like white, cream, gray or light blue. In some cases, where Business Stationery might need to reflect aggressiveness or brightness depending on its line of work, it could be procured in other colors also. It is for the business head to decide what kind of impression needs to be conveyed through its stationery. No doubt it is a very important decision, because this mode of communication would be sent to almost all business associates. One also needs to be clear beforehand as to what stationery requirements are there in the business, and what quantity needs to be ordered.

The quality of stationery items and its prints should be of good standard since it also reflects the company's image. The paper used for stationery should be of firm strength and its size should be easy to handle. Before printing the stationery, write down the information, like name, address, phone numbers, logo and so forth, that needs to be put on the stationery.  Sometimes you need to print some notifications due to legal requirements, depending on what is the line of business. For the placement of information, one can get hold of ready-made templates available for letterheads, envelopes and business cards, or have the stationery designed by professional consultants especially for your business needs.

Last but not least, the cost factor comes into play. Ask for quotes from multiple stationers and printers. It is a good idea to check references before placing your order. Since Business Stationery is something that can contribute toward building a distinct identity for the business, one needs to be extra careful while designing and ordering it. Most of the time, Business Stationery is the first contact with a prospective client or agency. Quality stationery can make a good impression for your business.

How to Save More in Postcard Printing

Sending postcards is pretty much part of our communications. No matter how technology advances, postcards will always be part of us. That fact we cannot deny.

Technology has also affected sending postcards. It has brought along e-postcards. With just a click of a mouse, you can now send postcards to many recipients all over the globe. It has made conveying message easier and faster.

Nonetheless, a great number of customers as well as businessmen is captivated and hooked in the traditional way of sending postcards. For them, it is still the warmest and the best approach in sending postcards.

Nothing compares to a postcard that can be touched, kept and cherished the way you want it. Unlike e-postcards, ordinary postcards creates a more personal approach and a more touching effect. The effort and the fondness cannot be overemphasized.

As we can observe, postcards old charisma is preserved. It uplifts our spirit and brightens even our dullest day. The effect is flagrant that even though in these modern times, lots of communications medium are available, people still stick with postcards.

Along with the growing postcard printing needs, comes the desire to save more. Thus, printing companies are now offering discount postcard printing. This will enable buyers and customers alike to get their bulk postcards order in a more affordable manner. This way, they will not be sacrificing the quality of their postcards at the same time they can save. This is the strategy of savvy customers these days. It is the same way as hitting two birds at one shot. Smart idea indeed!

A word of caution though must be applied. Be sure that your choice of postcard printing company will bolster your goals. In addition, said choice spells success or failure of your printing needs. Hence, you have to choose a reputable postcard printing company with a pool of skilled and knowledgeable workers.

Postcards must be pleasant to the senses. They are made to entertain, enlighten, comfort, care, advice, motivate and inform. Thus, your postcard printing preferences must be tantamount to extracting your postcard’s full color potential.

If there is a better choice, say quality and affordable printing services, why will you settle for less?

Indirect Advertising

I am reasonably certain that anyone reading this article is familiar with all the free online advertising methods such as the all-too familiar Sp-m emails, Classified Ads, FFA pages, Banners, Text Ads, Traffic Exchanges, Newsletters, Guaranteed Visitors, Paid to Read, Paid to Join, Link Swaps, Pop-ups, as well as many other types of 'In-Your-Face' advertising, some of which may have been dreamed up since this article was written.

What I would like you to consider is this: What do you think when you see this kind of stuff yourself? More to the point, what is your 'Frame of Mind' at that moment?

My guess is you think, "Here we go again..." and your shields go up. You pull up your waders and trudge on through, oblivious to the thousands of messages ricocheting off your armor as you collect a few more hits for your own website promotion or product offer.

With Millions of would be online Millionaires doing this hour after hour and day after day, is it any wonder that the Internet slows down to a crawl and even stops at times?

Now consider the "Frame of Mind" of a visitor that came looking for you to see what you are doing. Maybe even to ask a few questions and give you permission to email them. Does this sound like a more productive environment?

The online equivalent to this scene is being played out today and every day and you can participate for free. It is called 'Social Networking' and more information on this is easily found with your favorite search engine.

Imagine if you are no longer perceived as another 'Salesman' but as a "Fellow Business Person" with similar problems and often good ideas for their solutions. Much like Napoleon Hill wrote about in his world renown-book, "Think and Grow Rich", you could be a team member of a virtual Mastermind Group. Chamber of Commerce Mixers have been an example of this approach for years and have been very successful for some who get it. Now you can accomplish nearly the same thing for your home business from your own computer.

Keep in mind, this should not be just another place to plaster your links. The strongest relationships are formed by giving first. Do a mental inventory and come up with something you know or have that would help others more than yourself. Find a way to offer it with no strings attached, no signup or email address required, just give it freely. I know it sounds crazy in this dog-eat-dog world, but trust me it works.

Alright, now it is all up to you. Continue contributing to the degradation of Internet bandwidth with the huge numbers of attempts required (many not even reaching their target) to get a single response, or try something that builds future relationships with new friends that are truly interested in what you are doing and not just trying to sell you something.

Advertising Secrets

When I first got into the online advertising business, I was looking for the magical combination that would put my website into the top search engine rankings, catapult me to the forefront of the minds or individuals looking to buy my product, and generally make me rich beyond my wildest dreams!

After succeeding in the business for this long, I'm able to look back on my old self with this kind of thinking and shake my head.

If you're reading this article and you've come this far, you're probably looking for the magic answer yourself. You've probably read a few dozen or a few hundred articles just like this about pay-per-click advertising, maximizing return on investment, keyword stuffing, black-hat seo tactics, text-link banner exchanges, and the list goes on.

Well, I'm here to tell you that I have the one be all end all answer and I'm sharing it with the world!

The truth is that there is no magic secret to online advertising. No one method will generate the largest amount of income/exposure for every website or business imaginable - it's all a matter of trial and error, time and talent.

That's a pretty weak answer, I know. It would have been much cooler for me to tell you that buying tiny classified ads in your local paper was the key to success and riches. Well, I'm sorry. For the few of you that have been down this road before and are starting to get it, you'll hear a ring of truth in my words. The sooner you stop looking for a quick fix to make your message stick, the better.

For what it's worth, these are my thoughts.

1) The internet has only been alive for a few short years, and in that time it has changed dramatically many times over. Remember in 1995 when everyone first discovered the cool little animated envelope .gif that you would click on to send them email? Where was your online bill-pay, instant messaging, and dynamically generated page content then? And only a few short years later you can see how far we've come and use that as a measure for how far we can go.

The point is that the internet, like other forms of media, is a rapidly evolving monster. What works for online advertisers today might be completely ineffectual only a few months from now. That's why the best advertisers are constantly researching and creating their own unique marketing strategies. The trick is to find out what works for you, and to make sure that you revisit it from time to time to tune it up as the market changes.

2) You Have to Spend Money to Make Money.  It's a tired line, but it's that way because everyone says it. Don't be afraid to add fuel to your advertising fire and take it to another level. Try investing (note that I said investing and not spending) five, ten, or fifty thousand dollars in advertising. If you don't jump out a window the first time you do it, you may walk away with a big smile and a little pocket money!

The hard part about investing a big chunk of money is coming up with it in the first place. If you already have $50,000 laying around for advertising and are just looking for a place to put it, give me a call. If you're not that lucky, try looking at the Small Business Administration for ideas on how to get a small business loan.

If you don't want to go farther than your mailbox, examine some of those credit checks your bank keeps sending you in the mail. A lot of people take advantage of their fairly reasonable interest rates to fund projects.

3) Presentation is Key. You'll find that excellent writing skills and good marketing go hand in hand. As you improve on one, the other is bound to follow. Knowing how to write, and how to write well will give you an extraordinary advantage of the majority of individuals vying for your customers' attention. I don't know about you, but I get a lot of spam for people wanting to sell me their "good, cheap, A+ #1 $$$ rolex watch, discount Viagra, H0t s1utz, etc."

Needless to say, I have never purchased anything from them and most likely, neither have you. If you have, please drop me a line and let me know how it worked out. I'm always wondering how many of those are a scam.

The emails and circulars that I do purchase from come from GoDaddy, buy.com, Google and a host of other professional companies that take a few minutes to earn my trust with good punctuation, grammar, and quality content.

If you don't have a talent for writing (and you know who you are) you have two choices:

Get better - easier said than done. Like most things, writing is one part talent and nine parts hard work. Take some classes, do peer editing suggestions, or send it to me look over (first ten-thousand submissions only).

Or, get someone else to do it - leaving more time for you at the helm. I like this option not only because it's a time saver for me, but also because the work generally comes out better than anything I could have done. This article is an excellent example. I provided a detailed outline, some good anecdotes, and the strategies above and the copywriters at danifer.com did the rest. I made a deal with them to write the article for $149 and we share the syndication rights. Not bad for half an hour's work.

If you can't afford to hire a pro, be courteous to yourself and your audience by simply re-reading your work, running a spell check, and letting your wife/husband/friend/co-worker look it over. You'd be surprised at how many things invisible to you will stand out to a fresh set of eyes.

OK. That's all I've got for now. Stay tuned at howto advertise.net for more advice on how to get started with online advertising. Please remember though that how far you go is up to you. There is no substitute for your own work and effort in succeeding in this business.

Making A Visible Business Cards

Business cards are very important part of a first impression when you are in business. These business cards can be able to help to promote your business some says that it is a valuable promotion tool. However, in reality, most business cards only do half the marketing job.

It is true that no business person could live without of having a business card to hand to prospective clients or customers. Because for them, handing out a business card is so much easier than writing out all your contact information for a person you've just met.

Making a good and well designed business card I think is one of the important things to consider. There are many innovative ways in order to make your business card to be attractive and worth to keep for. By making your business card a marketing vehicle is one way of making it visible. Instead of the traditional business card, why not try get your contact information printed on something that people might leave in plain sight; something that will remind them of you and your services or products whenever they look at it. Why not make it message pads, coasters, mouse pads or even make it as fridge magnets. The choice of your business card design is limited only by your imagination. By making it easy for people to remember you by using more unusual designs and styles on your business card is a smart investment.

Further, in case of fonts, try not to combine fonts when you design your business card. This basically gives a busy and confusing look to the card. Remember, you are dealing in a small space, and you don't want the card to look crowded. It should be easy on the eyes. It is always recommended that you must limit your text sizes to two or three sizes maximum. By keeping some consistency in the text of your card, you have more room for creativity in the overall artwork and design.

Nowadays, there are lots of printing companies available that have a business card printing service. They can guide you on your creation of your business card. They have a group of designers that can help you conceptualize the design of your card. However, having them do your business card entails money, if you can't afford their service fee there is another way. Printing your own business cards using Microsoft Word can be a very inexpensive choice. Yes, you read it right! If you have Microsoft Office, you can easily create your own custom business cards in Microsoft Word.

To create business cards in Microsoft Word is easy as 1, 2, 3. First step, in a blank document open in Word, choose Tools|Letters and Mailings|Envelopes and Labels. Telemarketers Don't Like Them?

Telemarketers... ooohhh... I'll bet we've all got a nice story to tell about these guys & gals don't we? Well here's a story i'll never forget and I'll show you how to turn a sales call into a sale for you!
So I'm sitting in my office one day and mind you at the moment I didn't have a helper to screen my call for me and don't you know it, I get a telemarketer.

See, I used to be in a few network marketing programs and I know how hard it is to get rejections on the phone. Some of us take it very personal and some just don't care. But I assert you this, whichever one you are, cold calling isn't an easy business.

When someone calls me to sell me something I will only talk to them if they too will listen to a promotion I'm offering, only fair right? You'd be amazed at how many won't listen to you so why would you listen to them?

I make it a point to tell them that my specialty is promoting and if they want to have any of my time, they will have to listen to me 1st. No exceptions.

So one day, I get this call from this really nice guy who completely understood my deal and accepted to hear what I had to say. Usually, I will pick one of my clients and and only promote that one client to the other person on the phone. Trying to promote 2 or more at a time is like road kill, you don't want to confuse the other person.

With this conversation on the phone with this telemarketer I explain to him that I have a client in the Transport industry and he deals with all kinds of shipping services. What I usually do is ask the other person on the phone if he can recall anyone who mentioned to him that they needed to ship something!!!

With that, this gentlemen on the phone says "I'm actually looking into shipping a small package overseas". Now, I'm fully aware that he can just say whatever he wants and possibly get me to finally listen to him so I immediately conferenced him with the transport company to give them his contact information so that they can send him an information package.

Once the call was complete, I returned the favor for allowing me to discuss one of the promotions my company was taking care of and asked the gentlemen to explain what it was he was calling for. It turns out that he was trying to sell a magazine subscription for health issues. I told him that I wasn't interested but I had a client who was in the health industry so I gave this gentlemen my clients information to contact him

Going back to the transport company, it turned out that the telemarketer actually did take their services and in return the owner of the transport company took a year subscription of the health magazine I told you about!

Now that's not often it happens like the way it did but just remember that telemarketers are people as well and they too also know other people. There's a great book that I feel is of the best on this type of promoting and anyone committed to their sales should read it...

It's called: Endless Referrals By: Bob Burg

"A must read".

So next time a telemarketer calls you, you'll know what to do and if they reject hearing your offer, be kind and let them go!

Hope you've enjoyed my story!

Surveys Matter

A survey conducted in the United States by Harris Interactive, found that nine out of ten American adults believe that sending text messages or emails while driving is not only dangerous but should be outlawed.   The study, which was conducted by the Mobile messaging service Pinger, Inc., also found that most drivers consider text messaging while driving to be as dangerous as driving drunk.

Even though most respondents thought texting while driving was extremely dangerous.  Sixty six percent admitted to reading text messages while driving.  Of those 66 percent, 57 percent said they had also sent text messages or emails while operating a car.

The survey also revealed that "64 percent of adults who admitted to sending text messages while driving were between the ages of 18 and 34, while only 6 percent were 55 or older."  As far as who is sending the most text messages while driving.  The study showed that "men and women sent text messages while driving at equal rates."

This study illustrates a very interesting point, about a hot topic.   With states like Washington, New York, California and Florida considering legislation on banning texting while driving.  There’s no doubt that this study will have an impact on the debate.

I find surveys to be fascinating.  They not only tell us about the world around us, but they also can be used as a guide.   They open an avenue to peoples thoughts and opinions.  It’s hard not to be drawn into an article, once you’ve noticed that it contains a poll or survey.   A survey offers a snapshot into the mind of a demographic, race or any other type of group.   The information gleaned from these surveys can help in every aspect of life.  Politics, charities, religions, and businesses can all benefit from this type of information gathering.  Surveys can be crucial in any sphere but the one I want to talk about is the business sphere.

In the business world the need for surveys is clear.  Companies should utilizes surveys whether they be online, telephone or written.  A company that uses surveys to understand it’s customers is a company that is striving to improve it’s business and it’s bottom line.   A well structured and thought out survey or poll, can tell an institution, who is buying there products, what they think of these products and what they would like to see in terms of improvement.  On top of that, satisfaction surveys can tell a company what is working and what is not.   Many customers will tell you that they felt a sense contentment when they were contacted by a business and asked about they’re experience with that business.  It provides the consumer with a mouth piece.  With this outlet consumers can not only satisfy themselves, but grant a company a view onto the elusive consumers mindset.

Surveys are not just for consumers.  Employee surveys are equally as valuable to a corporation.  Knowing the attitudes of your employes can save you money by eliminating disgruntled and underperforming workers.  They can also help in product development,  team projects, office efficiency and worker disputes.

Happy employees not only work harder, but often times are willing to work at a business that pays less than a competitor.   A recent study showed that workers were willing to stay at a job that payed less, if that job was more satisfying then a similar job that paid more.  This low worker turnover rate, can be a massive blessing to a business.

Surveys can tell us interesting things about people and places.  But they can be even more helpful in telling us who we are selling to, and who we have working for us.

Do Click Exchanges Really Work?

Yes and No!
First you have to ask yourself: What do I want the click exchange to do for me?
If you want to promote a product or website directly by placing your URL on the click exchange and then surfing like mad to get your site shown once for every two that you see, then the answer is NO!

When you are surfing what are you thinking? Maybe “that’s 20 another 10, and then I’ll get my site seen 10 times for free” etc, what do you think everyone else is thinking? The same!

So let’s look at this logically: Who’s surfing click exchanges? Answer: Other internet marketers that are trying to get more free visitors to their sites in order to sell them a product or concept. Right?

When you’re surfing what do you want?
Answer: More free advertising. Right?
So wouldn’t it make sense to offer other marketers more free advertising and customers? Of course it would!

How can we do that? Simply create a webpage on your site that is super lightweight (loads quickly) looks like a bonus or reward page from the exchange you are using, it should have some traffic lights or stop signs etc.

Only have a few words such as CONGRATULATIONS! YOU HAVE WON!  To receive your free report that tells you how to get MORE FREE ADVERTISING and BUILD YOUR LIST! Enter your details here:

It sounds cliché I know, but it’s ethical and you do give them a valuable prize.

That’s all there is to it, that person is automatically emailed a free gift as the first email from your auto responder that is set up just for this purpose. (More on auto responders and free gifts in other articles)

You now have an internet marketer on your mailing list and it isn’t spam.

I’ve found that this works for me; why not give it a go!

How To Print A Digitally Image

If you like taking pictures, downloading and editing it, you also probably want to save them and sooner or later print them. You can do it by simply saving your images onto your personal computer. For you to easily find your images, creating a specific folder is essential.

However you don’t just want to keep them on your computer and save it for life; perhaps you also like to print and frame some your work or build a tangible collection of them. There are many ways to print a perfect carrier for an image. Because its digital they can easily transported, there is no need for special equipment in terms of viewing them, and you produce additional copies easily. However, the process of producing copies is not as simple as it seems. To be able get the best results of prints, first you’ll need to know about some of the factors that affect print quality.

Digital imaging printing is a good choice when you want to print a photo quality images. How to know if your printer is good enough to print a photo quality images? Digital printers measure their performance in terms of the number of ink dots per inch they produce. It is generally considered that 300 dpi is required for photo quality prints. DPI is an abbreviation for Dots Per Inch, and it specifies the number of dots in a square inch that make up an image on a printed page. More dots in a square inch mean a smoother image, whereas an image with a low DPI, the dots may be visible to the naked eye. The recommended minimum DPI is 150, while 300 DPI will make an excellent quality print.

Digital imaging printing is satisfactory, but the printer alone is not enough, you must also put onto consider of what kind of paper you will be using. For photo quality images, it is best to use a name brand sheet of photo papers such as Kodak and Fuji.

A thermal printer is also a good choice. Thermal printers have a color ribbon of Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black or the CMYK colors inside of them. With these 4 colors, any color can be printed. The printer reads the color scheme of your image and heat is applied to each color on the ribbon. The result is a near perfect reflection of your previewed photograph, which has been “pressed” onto the photo paper. Thermal prints do not smudge and last a great deal longer than ink-based photos.

Knowing how big a file that needs to be to make a print is also one of the biggest sources of confusion about printing concerns resolution. Size also matters here. The size of the image file determines the maximum size at which it can comfortably be printed before the image starts to break down or become “pixilated”. You can calculate the size of your image by taking the pixel dimensions and dividing it by the resolution of the printer. For instance calculation, if you have a 2,400 x 1,800 pixel image on a 300 dpi printer it is easily be printed to 8 x 6 inches. You can also print it in a larger size but you will lose quality.

Another problem is by matching the color on the screen with the print, the reason is that there’s a big difference between them if your printer is using the color scheme CMYK, while your monitor is formatted as RGB or the Red, Green and Blue color scheme. This can make a big difference in what you preview versus what you print. A tip of advise always perform a checking first, check if the calibration of the monitor is correct and it matches the printer before you print.

Fax Advertising

To many people, fax advertising may seem like an archaic form of advertising. So many people turn to other forms of media for their new entertainment and information about what to buy and what not to buy that receiving an ad via fax may be ineffective. For this very reason fax advertising must be made that much more outstanding to the average consumer when they walk by the fax machine.

When creating a fax advertisement it is important to always keep the customer in mind. Think of things that they would like to see, like pictures and words that will get their attention and come right off the page at them. Making sure that they are able to get there attention and at least read the advertisement is half the battle.

The next step in that strategy is to make sure that the fax advertisement has something that will keep them reading. Incentives are the golden rule for fax advertising. With out something that will keep the customer reading they are most likely going to take the advertisement out of the tray, grumble about it being a waste of their paper, ink or both and then crumble it into a ball and throw it into the garbage. Everyone likes a deal whether it be a discount coupon or a new low rate the customer will want to see something being offered to them for the use of that valued ink and paper.

The final most important note about fax advertising is to make sure that they know how to contact you. Whether it be by phone, fax or website. They need to contact you to take advantage of that great deal that you are offering to them. It would be a complete travesty if they wanted to take up the incentive that was offered through the fax advertisement and then had no way to contact your business. That would be money down the tubes or just nonchalantly given to another competing business that did leave their contact information.

Fax advertising does not have to be a relic from the prehistoric era. There is still life in those fax machines and a great opportunity to spread the greatness of your business. It can be used to its full potential gaining business for your company by keeping customers on their toes so to speak.

Effective Brochure Design

Many marketing companies would be more than happy to assist in creating a brochure design that is professional and have a lovely look to them. However before going to one of these companies or even considering them one must consider what it is the brochure design is supposed to accomplish.

If the main goal of the brochure design is to gain new customers it should be sharp and catchy. Make it something that the customer will notice and not want to toss in the garbage. Also give them reasons as to why they want to do business with you. Keep in mind that you are always in competition and that you will want to win the most customers possible. New customers need to know why you are so wonderful and why it is a better financial investment for them to give their money to you.

Alternatively if the main goal of the brochure design is to get customers that have already done business with you to come back then you are going to need to gear your brochure towards them. Snappy catchy pictures are not necessarily needed in this case. Here they already know who you are and will take a moment to see what you have to say. The best approach for the speech of the brochure is to keep it at a friendship level. They know you and have already spent some money with you. The goal here is to keep them spending their money with you. To do this talk to them like they are an old friend. Let them know that their business with you was greatly appreciated and that you would love to see them again.

Never underestimate the use of incentives given in a brochure design. Bargain shoppers are going to come flocking in to new businesses or return to old companies that they had once used all because they have a coupon in their hand. They love a good bargain and if you give them a good bargain they will love you. Also the average not so bargain crazed customer is going to come to you over the competition that doesn’t give an incentive. Think in the mind of the shopper. For example if a shopper is likely to save $20 on an incentive that you offered on something through your brochure design then that is $20 more likely that they will spend on other or more products.

Keep these points in mind when creating the perfect brochure design and you too will have an effective brochure that will bring in more business.

Creative Outdoor Ads

They are big, bold and beautiful. Billboards have been around for quite a while. In almost all places nowadays you can find billboards of just about every product there is in the market.

No matter how you see it, billboard advertising is on the rise. Compared to other forms of advertising, billboards are a more affordable way of getting your message across to the public.

If newspaper advertising lasts only for a day and a television advertisement last for only about forty seconds, billboard adverting last 24/7.

Billboards can connect easily with potential markets because more people are mobile nowadays - referring to the increasing number of commuters and more time spent outside of the house. Advances in technology have also made billboards more cost effective.

Advances in digital printing have also allowed billboards to be printed cheaply and quickly on canvas. Lately, billboards have been getting pocket-friendly as well.

But before you get your creative juices flowing and before you plunge into the exciting world of billboard advertising there things you need to understand. First, don’t expect the billboard to contain a lot of information. This is not just possible. The number one rule in billboard advertising is simplicity.

This rule simply means that you need to use only a few words to get your message across. But this doesn’t mean that you can no longer make complex, intelligent and intriguing statements. You still can but in the simplest way you can.

Say three balls are thrown to you at the same time. Chances are you will not catch all these balls let alone catch one. Throwing three balls at the same time is like throwing several ideas and message to your audience at the same time.

If you throw one idea at a time chances are most of your readers will grasp it and walk away with the message. But if you throw two ideas at the same time only few will be able to get your message. So pay attention to the golden rule and keep your billboard simple.

The price for disregarding the rule is wastage of thousands of dollars but the reward can lead to huge fame and fortune.

In billboard advertising it is also important to know your market. It pays to be aware of what your customers need and where most of your customers are to be able to strategically and effectively place your billboard. If billboards are put up in the wrong place and at the wrong crowd you might as well forget your chance of getting a lot of customers.

Money is indeed being made in billboard advertising, lots of it in fact, although trying to keep track of just how much the outdoor-advertising industry is collecting in can be tricky, since there is no system for measuring the budgets and revenues of those connected with it.

But the opportunity is there. Businesses just have to make an effort and take advantage of it.

Advertising On Celebrity Fan Sites

Online advertising isn’t quite the same as advertising anywhere else. On the web, ads are everywhere. In fact it is safe to say that the Internet is one gigantic billboard.

Online advertising also differs from regular advertising in that glitzy, gimmicky logos or images or even taglines don’t cut it. Usually, the people who use the Internet are looking for specific items of information and just tune out the various gimmicks that companies use for their commercials.

This may be because when the net was young and still mostly dial-up, the ads were banner types which were pretty but really heavy. Though broadband has now replaced dial-up, Internet users prefer ads that are light and easy and preferably unobtrusive to their research.

What is the same, whether you advertise online or offline is that people connect with people. In general, they respond better to ads that appeal to their values or feature something they can relate to. They relate better to commercials that feature people.

For example, if your product is about health care, they are more likely to respond to a doctor than to anyone else. If your product is about basketball shoes, they are more likely to respond to a basketball player. Basically, you choose a spokesperson that your prospective buyers will believe or listen to. The only exception to this rule seems to be celebrities. For some reason, people will believe almost anything celebrities say, whether or not they themselves are suited for the product or not.

Now, hiring a celebrity to endorse your product can be a really expensive thing. Most celebrities charge high, after all you are trying to ride on to their popularity. Their manager will make sure that they get the most out of being your commercial model.

Unlike regular advertising, however, there is a way to cash in on the popularity of celebrities without having to pay an exorbitant rate. They are called celebrity fan sites. These are sites about a celebrity that may or may not be owned or maintained by the celebrity who is featured. Usually these sites are run by a fan of the celebrity, hence the term celebrity fan site.

Here is a truth that artists who last long in the industry know. The fans control their world. The acceptance of the public of their image, their composition, their design, their performance determines how much money they will earn.

The fans are also the ones who search the Internet the most about information about their favorite, and some not so favorite celebrities. Celebrities are among the highest searched items on the net. Over 40 million queries about them are made a day.

Thanks to search engines, these celebrity fan sites get quite a bit of exposure. They talk about their favorite singer, actor, model, or athlete. They have interesting information that attracts even more fans of their favorite star.

That’s a lot of traffic that businesses can utilize. All the companies need to figure out is which ones of the many celebrities will their target group be likely to visit. This will help you get the necessary exposure that your product needs.

One way to look at it is as sponsorship. A lot of TV shows or segments are sponsored by various companies. They allow these TV shows or segments to stay on the air. In exchange, these shows flash their logos of their sponsors during commercial breaks.

Online advertising has an advantage here. Unlike TV where the sponsor has to wait for their commercial spot, online advertisers have their ads constantly on the page on specified areas. Visitors can see them all the time as they surf the celebrity fan site. Depending on the agreement, some sites will even allow the advertiser to have their ads on various pages of the site, so no matter where they travel on the actual site, they still see your product on display in a prominent area.

Putting an online ad on celebrity fan sites is a lot less expensive than paying for airtime on television. The cost is a lot lower and you get more exposure since you are not limited to just your national public. Keep in mind that the Internet is on a global scale.

These celebrities have fans all across the world. The celebrity fan sites, being on the net, have a global reach. If your business caters to the international market here is another reason why you may want to place your ad on a celebrity fan site.

People like to be in touch with people. They like to know what’s going on with their favorites. So of course, they will look up news on their idols and voila! When they visit the sites about their favorite star, there’s your ad. Isn’t that great exposure?

People often idolize celebrities because they see something in these people that they would someday like to achieve, whether it is a physical, mental, social or maybe just a financial thing. They long to be as beautiful or as smart or as attractive to the opposite sex. Some may just long to be as fit or as skilled an athlete. Whichever aspect it is that they admire in these stars, if your product is something that can help them come close to achieving that goal, they may just click on your ad.

You will need to do some research to find the best celebrity fan site on which to place your ad. You do want to get the most for your money and there are hundreds of celebrity fan sites out there. You are looking for the one that attracts the most number of fans who are also part of your target market.

If you find the celebrity fan site you like, make sure to check out the contact details of the site owner right away. Most of them will have a link on their site marked as “contact us”. Once you get in touch with them, you just need to negotiate for a prime spot on their site. Don’t wait too long! Other businesses want that spot.

Advertising in Concessions

As is true with any business, advertising in the food concession business is extremely important in order to get the word out that a new business has come to town. However, while it is very important to utilize advertising when you are in any industry, it is even more important to use it in the concession business.

Food concession businesses are working at an uphill climb as far as advertising goes. You don’t have a fixed building. No matter how permanent your location may seem you don’t have an absolutely permanent location. There are many different obstacles.

However, if you use advertising, you can really make a difference in the number of customers you have. There are different types of advertising. There is word of mouth advertising, print advertising, and tv and radio commercial advertising.

One of the best types of advertising is word-of-mouth advertising. The reason this is one of the best is because you don’t do it. For one thing, it’s coming straight from the mouths of your already customers to the ears of your potential customers.

Secondly it’s free. You don’t have to pay for this type of advertising and it is one of the most powerful types of advertising there is. By having great food, great customer service and great value, you can be sure to get this type of advertising. Be careful that you have all of these things because advertising works in both ways if a customer is dissatisfied. Most of the time, advertising is even worse if it’s negative because it spreads faster.

Another type of advertising is print ads. These are becoming more and more obsolete with the ever increasing popularity of the tv, radio, and internet. Some types of print advertising are flyers, business cards, and mail outs. These can all be varying prices ranging from fairly plain and simple to decked out with color copies.

Either way you go try to make a lasting memorable impression. The down side to this is that flyers and mail outs can be considered to be very annoying junk mail. You do not want to alienate your customers by making them angry that you sent them a flyer. This is just something you should consider before you choose your form of advertisement.

Finally we have radio and television commercials. These are great ways to advertise but can be costly. The reason they are so great is because they let you see and hear the advertisement. Something is much more likely to get stuck in people’s minds when it is both seen and heard rather than just read. There is a downside to this, however it is not as negative as that of the print advertising. The down side of the tv or radio commercial is that people get annoyed because there are so many commercials.

The thing that gets you around this as a business is that they have learned to accept that there are commercials that must be run for the tv show or radio show to stay on the air. Another downside however that is a little more detrimental is the increased popularity of DVR, a recorder for the tv that causes people to be able to fast forward through the commercials.

All of these types of advertising have problems of their own. So, before you choose the type of advertising you are going to use, make sure you have thought long and hard about what drawbacks you are willing to accept and which ones you aren’t.

These choices are going to be based largely on the type of advertising budget you have. While there are drawbacks, advertising is necessary to flourish as a business.

Advertising and Promoting Using Articles

A very efficient method to advertise your professional services, the products you are selling or simply to show how educated you are in a particular niche is by using the highly beneficial method of article marketing.

These articles that enclose at the end a short presentation of you or your business can be about various solution to actual problems, about everyday life or any other topic that will interest and inform a reader about the subject.

There are many sites to which you can submit these articles to, or if you have a database of your customers’ emails, just drop them an email containing the article and a link to your personal site or professional site. Over time, it is hoped that your article will be syndicated on websites throughout the internet.

The articles can generally be copied from one article submission site to the other as long as the content belongs to you and you are not stealing someone else’s work. There is a huge demand for content on the internet, it's what keeps the search engines hungry, and with so many website owners and ezine publishers regularly looking for fresh content, chances are that your article will not only be used on article directories but also on several other sites.

The more interesting and informative an article is, the more people will read and remember it. Even if you don’t have experience with writing, there are some benefits that may persuade you to give it a try:

-    It may improve the way you convey your thoughts on a subject.
-    It will bring your website visibility.
-    If it’s written well it will may help someone.
-    You can prove your knowledge in your professional areas.

Publishing articles means they have to contain mostly useful information and just a little bit of advertising. If they don’t follow this rule, you might end up with an un-publishable article. The promotion area of the article is usually meant for the end of that article, known as the "resource box".

As an article directory owner myself, I know that there are many authors who insist on placing links to their website throughout the article, but I would suggest that having an informative article with the links to "futher information" in the resource box is a much clearer and better structured approach.

Articles are meant to inform the reader of a particular subject, and not merely persuade the reader to visit your site with every paragraph written. In fact, should you have a good enough article, the reader will more than likely choose to visit the site in your resource box in any case.

I recently received an article that contained 11 links in a 200-word article! This DID NOT include the resource box where a further 4 links were provided. Needless to say the article was rejected, so make sure your articles are interesting and informative with promotion left to the appropriate section.

There are other things you could do with articles if you are willing to spend some money. There are different publicity sites, ranked high in search engines that for a fee will publish your article on their site for a limited period of time. The fee is not high usually, but can provide publicity should you choose this route. But if this choice is the one that appeals to you the most, you must make sure the article is really good, so good that it can compete with all the other articles on that site.

The user can see them all at the same time and you must think of ways to make him choose to read yours. If you have tried and you are not confident you can do it on your own, you can always hire a professional.

A Good Autoresponder

How many free autoresponders have you tried? Really how many? And how many emails did you get through using them? How do you know? How many people opened your followup message?

My point here is that if you have no clue for the answers above you probably are not operating a followup campaign successfully. These are crucial element that must be explored when you are choosing an autoresponder.

Some good steps to take to ensure you are getting what you need out of a autoresponder include... Compare your autoresponder with those of top marketers, chances are they are using the best in the business. You can't go wrong with this step!

Other observations you might make are related to spam filters. Have you ever gotten an e-mail and seen something like this..."F`R`E`E"  Yes this is a good way to beat the spam filters as they won't read Free they will read something totally different. However it can be time consuming going through your article and finding which words are "Danger" words. This can go along way in your marketing efforts. So make sure you find an autoresponder that has a spam rating feature... these features will automatically show you where in your article your "Danger" words are.

Another crucial element of e-mail marketing are your statistics. How many e-mails are being opened can tell you if your subject line is any good or if you did a good job branding your name. If you know your e-mail statistics you are one step in the right direction in optimizing your potential sales. Finding an autoresponder that shows in depth analysis with your followups are also key.

What should a followup contain? Good question... My personally experience suggests directing your subscribers to a full article located on the web. There are some good reasons for this. You can create an excitement teaser in the followup e-mail and beg your article to be read on the web. There is also the chance that since you have an article archive on the web many subscribers will often read more than just your original article. Your subscriber might not be interested in one article but they may find what they are looking for browsing through your previous articles.

Broadcasting! So your subscribers are finished receiving their original followup series... now what? Find an auto responder that allows you to broadcast an update or an offer to the entire subscriber list. Don't let your subscribers go to waste, this feature is a must!

Remember not to bore your hard earned subscribers. Present them with a problem and offer them a solution! Its that easy...

Find my recommended autoresponder on my marketing blog!

How To Advertise Your Web Hosting Business

Advertising your web hosting site

Any new web host will realise that there is a lot of competition in the web hosting industry and it can be hard to establish yourself in the market. I think to succeed as a host you must offer a quality, reliable low cost service to your clients.

No matter how good your service is, if people do not know about your hosting business you will find it hard to break even each month. Every successful hosting company has a well thought through advertising plan. There are many types of advertising available for a host to use to generate new sales.

Search Engine Advertising

Many internet users have used a search engine before to find information, a product or service and for a web site search engines can generate a lot of revenue. As a hosting company it is no different, many new clients can come from search engines.

To take advantage of search engines a host must receive top ranking for popular search terms such as hosting, web hosting, shared hosting and reseller hosting. However this can be a very difficult task, as these keywords have a huge amount of competition for the top ranks.

There are two main types of search engine listings, all search engines offer listings where the rankings are decided on a number of factors such as backward links, web site content, inbound links etc,

Some of the search engines offer paid listings, where the rank of a web site listing is based on the amount paid by the advertiser either for a set time limit or every time a user clicks on the advertiser's ad.

Web Hosting Directory Advertising

Like search engines, advertising in a web hosting directory can bring a lot of revenue for your hosting business and the cost can be fairly low. If your company offers a quality service you should have no problem being added to all the top directories, I would like to say that different directories have their own rules for submissions, and some do have continual operating requirements.

On the whole many hosting directories allow free submissions for your hosting site which can directly bring in traffic to your site, and can also in-directly improve your search engine rankings which will in turn bring more traffic to your site.

Along with free submissions, many hosting directories also offer paid submissions, and/or paid advertising on the web site.

Cost-per-click Advertising

This type of advertising involves placing either a text based or image based advert, and the advertisers' states an amount they are willing to pay for every click their ad receives.

The best places for a web host to use this type of advertising is on web hosting related web site, such as web design, programming or a hosting form site such as Web Hosting Complete.

CPC advertising can be very cost effective, normally only users will click on an advert they are interested in.

Web Hosting Forum Advertising

A web host can usually advertise directly and in-directly on hosting forum web sites, an example is Web Hosting Complete (http://www.whcomplete.com). WHC offer different advertising programs, such as text link and banner based advertising, which can be very effective for hosts.

Advertising on a hosting related site should lower your advertising costs but still generate revenue. Along with the direct advertising, there are subtle ways to generate free traffic from a web hosting forum.

Many of these forum sites do not allow links to external sites to be placed in posts, however normally you can place a link to your web site in your signature. By posting on a forum site, you can place a huge number of free links to your web site in your posts. This can generate a lot of free traffic, and because it is from a hosting related site, it can be highly targeted as well. However this can take a lot of time, because you cannot just post nonsense, your posts must be relevant to the discussions of other members.

Conclusion

In conclusion there are a number of advertising methods a web host can use to generate targeted traffic, some are free but take time and other methods can take money.

I would recommend creating an advertising plan before you start putting money into any form of advertising, the plan should set out how much per month you can spend, and where the money is best spent.

Get Paid To Shop & Eat

Everybody would love to make lots of money quickly, working from home, and only doing a few hours of work per week. I've spent the past two years trying to find a great way of doing this. Only over the course of the past few months have I found any "get rich quick" programs worth buying. I've been trying to make money online for a long time. I had a few small websites, but they never made much more than a few hundred per month. It was easy money and didn't require much work on my part, but I knew there were people out there doing better than I was and I knew I could do as well as them.

Now, I've seen a lot of "get rich quick" programs. Most of these people make claims about earning $2000/day with Google or something similarly insane. Almost all of these people are complete liars. Even if they were making $2000/day with Google AdSense, it'd be because they had high- traffic websites with a lot of quality content. I'd know, because in one whole month, I never even made half of what they promised I'd make daily with their programs. Maybe you've already been scammed by one of these fraudsters. Anyway, I finally got sick of what was being offered.

I decided I'd look through the all of the "get rich quick" programs I could find and see if there were any that were actually legitimate. I found that there were owners selling their programs for well over $100, but the information in them could be found almost anywhere online for free. Additionally, they all contained out-of-date information, had no e-mail support, no money back guarantees, and broken links in the downloads section.

In conclusion, almost all of the programs I found were completely useless. The owners knew it, but they couldn't care less about their customers since they didn't offer refund policies! Amazingly, while looking through all of the programs, I actually did find a few legitimate programs. They were run by ordinary people like you and me, and they had found some great methods of making money from their home by doing very little work.

I spent some time working with those programs, and my income is now ten times what it used to be. These programs provided a large amount of great information on how to make extra money on your computer doing very little work. Numerous customers had provided great feedback and reviews for their products. Many of them have started to make money just days after buying!

Their programs have excellent prices, and the authors have a group of paid staff who are dedicating to helping you or providing assistance if you need any. I must say I was amazed! If you do decide to purchase any of the programs listed below, I recommend you join quickly. Most of the owners tell me they are getting an overwhelming number of sales and plan on raising prices in the near future, so order while prices are still low!

Emphasize Benefits,Not Features

What are features? They are descriptions of what qualities a product possesses.

·    The XYZ car delivers 55 miles per gallon in the city.
·    Our ladder’s frame is made from a lightweight durable steel alloy.
·    Our glue is protected by a patent.

And what are benefits? They are what those features mean to your prospects.

·    You’ll save money on gas and cut down on environmental pollutants when you use our energy saving high-performance hybrid car. Plus, you’ll feel the extra oomph when you’re passing cars, courtesy of the efficient electric motor, which they don’t have!
·    Lightweight durable steel-alloy frame means you’ll be able to take it with you with ease, and use it in places most other ladders can’t go, while still supporting up to 800 pounds. No more backaches lugging around that heavy ladder. And it’ll last for 150 years, so you’ll never need to buy another ladder again!
·    Patent-protected glue ensures you can use it on wood, plastic, metal, ceramic, glass, and tile…without messy cleanup and without ever having to re-glue it again—guaranteed!

If you were selling an expensive watch, you wouldn’t tell your reader that the face is 2 inches in diameter and the band is made of leather.

You show him how the extra-large face will tell him the time at a glance. No sir! He won’t have to squint and look foolish to everyone around him trying to read this magnificent timepiece. And how about the way he’ll project success and charisma when he wears the beautiful gold watch with its handcrafted custom leather band? How his lover will find him irresistible when he’s all dressed up to go out, wearing the watch. Or how the watch’s status and beauty will attract the ladies.

The point is to address the benefits of the product, not its features. And when you do that, you’re focusing on your reader and his interests, his desires. The trick is to highlight those specific benefits (and word them correctly) that push your reader’s emotional hot buttons.
